Amazing Food

I love food!

Any one who has known me even for a short period of time will tell you that I love food. If I'm getting driving directions to someone's house or place of business, I usually just end up asking what restaurant is it by, odds are I know right where the nearest eatery is.
Ben took me on a date last year to Ipanema Brazilian Grill in Seattle. It was Amazing!(with a capital A, see.) Our anniversary is coming up and over pillow talk a couple months ago I brought it up. I asked him if we could go there for our special day. He said sure, why wouldn't he, the food is Amazing. So I've been bugging him about when we were going to make reservations because if you don't you get to sit around with a bunch of other people waiting for a no-show. I know because that's how we did it last time. I decided to take charge and set up dinner for the two of us....I guess it doesn't always have to be his job but I sure like it when he takes care of things....only problem is, will he? Our reservations are taken care of.

Back to the Amazing food....

It's all you can eat and they have a few options. There is a hot and cold bar where there are salads, veggies, starches you know the boring stuff, although let me just say it is still very good. Then there is the meat!!!!! You don't get up and get your meat. They bring it to you. On big skewers. With big knives. They tell you what type of meat it is, they have quite the selection, and then ask you if you would lie some. If you say yes they cut you off a small slice and you use your cute little tongs to put it on your plate. Now when I say there is a variety of meat I mean there is variety! They have a few different types of stakes, marinated and seasoned differently. There is bacon wrapped chicken and shrimp. Wild Boar is on the list. There is also lamb, pork, and fish. All of it is........Amazing. Once you are at your table there is this little card there, red on one side, green on the other. If you want them to stop and offer meat leave the green showing. If you've had it on the green side for hmmmm... about five minutes, really, not kidding, there is already quite the pile of meat on your plate. At least there was on mine :) If you're ready to dive into that pile and don't want to be bothered with more succulent offerings then I guess you could turn it to the red side. Or you could do what Ben and I did. We had our piles we were working on and had our red side up, but when we saw a meat coming around that we really liked--yup you guessed it---GREEN! Bring me more!

When you make a reservation you get a slot of 1.5 to 2 hours to sit and gorge and enjoy! I don't know if we were there that long but I was in HEAVEN the whole time I was there!
One of the best things had nothing to do with an animal that had once been roaming around getting nice and fat just for me, it was pineapple. They have this pineapple that they put on a skewer and then season with cinnamon and nutmeg, I think, and then they roast it just like they do with everything else. That was my favorite part. I love pineapple, it makes me happy. I had never had anything like that before, it made me very happy! I asked for some and Ben did too, I guess the guy saw me taking it off Ben's plate because when he came around again, he gave me lots. Then I had to ask for more, they made a trip just for me. I loved it.

I am so excited that we are going there for our Anniversary. I am even more excited that we have another Anniversary to celebrate! I'm also looking forward to many more.....of course!

Another reason why I heart you Nicole. =) Ok This chick will go to McDonald's and order the Big Mac meal with fries and all and then on the side she gets a CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH! On the side? Really? YUP! She will eat every bite in record time. Wanna know why you should hate her? She is tiny and cute.
Love you!

Sam called me tiny. I love her! Yes, that is a typical order at McDonald's for me but she forgot the occasional milkshake and yes, I do inhale food.

Wow I am so jealous of your ability to eat. My son gives me a pretend cake and I gain a couple of pounds. *Sigh* I have eaten at a place like that in Colorado and they are delicious!!! Enjoy every minute of your stuffed belly when you go :)

Hey Nicole! Yay for outing yourself as a lurker! First off, I LOVE restaurants like these, especially anything bacon-wrapped.
Second, funfetti cake is incredible. It's vanilla cake with big sprinkles mixed in to the batter. Depending on the brand, it can also be called rainbow cake or confetti cake.
